Asukanet Co., Ltd. has implemented a major update to its editing application “MyBookEditor” for its photo book service “MyBook,” releasing the new version “MyBookEditor5”.
“MyBookEditor5” adopts a new application infrastructure optimized for modern environments. Along with a completely redesigned editing screen and the addition of a background transparency feature, it delivers a more intuitive and comfortable photo book production environment, the company says.

In conjunction with this update, the MyBook brand logo has also been refreshed.
“MyBook” has been loved by many customers for over 20 years since the early 2000s. While the previous editing software, “MyBookEditor4,” was widely used for many years, it was developed under the assumptions of past OS environments. Therefore, a revitalization tailored to recent advancements in PC environments was highly requested.
With the release of “MyBookEditor5,” we have completely overhauled the application foundation and optimized it for today’s environments, achieving a more comfortable and stable editing experience. Every step of the photo book creation process—from selecting photos to layout design and ordering—has been improved to flow more smoothly.
MyBookEditor5 introduces a new background transparency feature. By cutting out people or motifs and freely combining them with photos and design assets, users can create photo books with a higher level of originality than ever before, the company says. This expands the range of expression across various scenes, including growth records, wedding albums, and travel logs.
The User Interface (UI) of the editing screen has been completely overhauled. The design has been improved so that even first-time photo book creators can navigate easily and access necessary functions without getting lost. Routine operations such as placing photos and editing pages can now be performed more smoothly, aiming to create an environment where users can thoroughly enjoy the production process itself.
Operations for text input, font switching, and layout adjustment have been refined to deliver a smoother editing experience.
